• How do I get my Value Advantage Rebate Access Code?
  The Value Advantage Rebate Access Code qualifies you to receive the valuable rebates that our offer providers have extended. It is a code of the form XXXX-XXXX and you receive it when your purchase is validated for eligibility. You can validate your purchase by kicking off the redemption process as stated above.
  
  Validation of Windows Vista products is done online. When you click the 'Redeem Now' button your system will be taken to the Genuine Advantage site for validation. Click on that link to receive your Value Advantage Rebate Access Codes.
  
  PLEASE NOTE: You need your Value Advantage Rebate Access Code to qualify for the mail-in rebate on the hardware accessories you want to redeem. We suggest you print them out and save them.   A local PC builder is a local or regional business that builds and sells PCs. Buying your PC with genuine Microsoft® software from a local PC builder is a great value, thanks to the service and support that local PC builders offer.
• What is the Value Advantage offer?
  The Value Advantage promotion rewards you for making purchases from local PC builders by offering you access to FREE (after mail-in rebate, S&H/Taxes apply) hardware accessories. The offer is exclusively for customers who buy PCs or Servers pre-installed with eligible genuine Microsoft® software. • How do I get Value Advantage offer hardware?
  To get your Value Advantage, you must:

  • Purchase a PC or Server pre-installed with one of the products listed on our offer grid and listed as qualifying in our eligible parts page.
  • Purchase from a local PC builder in the United States between January 1, 2009 and June 30, 2009.
  • Validate the software using by following the instructions on the redemption page . NOTE: you must redeem by July 15, 2009.
• How can I tell if the software installed on my computer is eligible for the Value Advantage offer?
  The Value Advantage offer is available only for certain eligible genuine Windows Vistasystems and licenses in the U.S. The offer must be redeemed in the U.S. It is only valid for eligible licenses of Windows Vista Home Premium, Windows Vista Business and Windows Vista Ultimate.
  
  For a license to be eligible it must have one of the part numbers listed on the Eligible Parts and Partners page OR be purchased through one of the PC builders listed on the Eligible Parts and Partners page.
• How can I find a local PC builder in my area?
  We have made it easier for you to find local PC builders throughout the site. You can see them on the different scenario pages, linked from our home page and throughout the site. You can also go directly to our Partner Locator Tool , enter your zip code and click .
• Do Dell, Gateway, and other major computer manufacturers qualify as local PC builders for this offer?
  No. The Value Advantage offer excludes products intended for major computer manufacturers or part of a volume license agreement. Please review the complete eligible parts list for details.
• I meet the requirements for the Value Advantage offer, but received an error message. What should I do?
  Please be sure to closely check the terms of the promotion. If you the meet the requirements to participate in the Value Advantage offer and feel you received the ineligibility message in error, please click the "Contact Product Support" button on the error message page.

• I'm having trouble getting the offer providers to redeem my order. What should I do?
  We work very hard with the offer providers to create a great experience, but unfortunately sometimes there are issues. The companies providing the offers are responsible for redeeming the offer. • Is the Value Advantage offer available in Canada?
  Unfortunately not. The Value Advantage offer is only available to customers in the United States and redeem the offer in the United States.
• Is there any limit to the number of PCs I can purchase in order to redeem the offers for the Value Advantage offer?
  There is no limit to the number of PC purchases you can make to redeem the offers for the Value Advantage offer, but there is a limit of one Value Advantage per PC purchase. All purchases must be made and redeemed as specified in the Terms and Conditions .
• Are there any hidden fees I should be aware of?
  You are not required to pay any fees to obtain the Value Advantage offers. However, all the offers are mail-in rebates, and shipping and handling charges and taxes will apply. Although you may purchase other products, the rebate may not cover the full amount of the purchase.
• Is the rebate applicable to any item by the offer providers?
  The rebates that are part of the Value Advantage program are only applicable to the products listed on this campaign site and on the offer provider site. Terms and Conditions for Value Advantage for Home and Small Business Offer

Supplies are limited. Offer available to customers who purchase a genuine United States Windows Vista Ultimate, Windows Vista Home Premium and Windows Vista Business operating system in the United States from approved system builder channels January 1, 2009 through June 30, 2009 and has validated the software using the Windows Genuine Advantage program. In order to be eligible for Value Advantage offers the Windows Vista operating system must have one of the eligible part numbers or have been purchased from one of the eligible PC builders. See the eligibility page for a complete list of eligible part numbers and PC builders.

Redemption of Value Advantage offer is available beginning January 1, 2009. Offer excludes systems purchased from major computer manufacturers (OEMs), and those purchased as part of a volume license agreement and those purchasers redeeming outside of the United States. Limit one offer per Windows Vista operating system purchased. The offer item must be purchased by July 15, 2009. Each offer coupon must be redeemed by the deadline stated in its terms. Customers who do not purchase the offer item or redeem the offer coupon in the time allotted forfeit eligibility to the rebate available with that offer.
